If you were, like me, flooded by all the good news related to Amazon Alexa at CES 2017, For those who don’t yet know about it, Alexa is a voice platform released by Amazon in 2014, that lets 3rd parties create new applications and devices based on voice interactions.
“Amazon originally anticipated that there would be 35 to 40 devices with Alexa at CES. The final count is still unknown, but it’s more than that.”
~ Mike George, Amazon’s vice president of Echo and Alexa
I confirm that, my final count below is more than 40 devices. I’m not at all surprised by this huge interest about Alexa, it is a great platform that is democratizing, since two years ago, many technologies like speech recognition, signal processing, machine learning, and natural language understanding, paving the way for the next Human Machine Interface: The voice.
